Whether you want to relax in the shadow of majestic Mt. Baker or fill your day with fun activities, Lynden has plenty of options for you!

Lynden's Dutch heritage is evident throughout the community. A 72-foot-high windmill with moving blades anchors downtown Lynden. A community highlight is the annual Holland Days festival, featuring "klompen" (wooden shoe) dancers in costume and authentic Dutch delicacies during the first weekend in May.

Special events are planned throughout the year, including the Northwest Washington Fair in August and Lighted Christmas Parade in December.

Outdoor recreation enthusiasts have an abundance of choices. Golfers can play at Lynden's renowned Homestead Farms Golf Resort & Convention Center, featuring an island green on the 18th hole, or 10 other courses within 30 minutes. Skiers, hikers, and picnickers flock to 10,778-foot-high Mt. Baker. Numerous freshwater and saltwater possibilities are nearby. Lynden's parks and flat terrain are ideal for bicyclists.
