Thursday nights, the J invites you to enjoy free live music in the piano lounge from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The Firehall Cafe at the J offers their full menu of food and beverages until 9:00 PM. Curated by local musician Victor Pruner, the Live Music in the Piano Lounge series is designed to bring a variety of local musicians to engage the community. This week the J welcomes back Sould Shadows. Soul Shadows is a local band comprised of Skip Williams on keyboards and vocals and Robert “Goldtooth” Ray on Bass. The band was formed in 2013 and has been playing regularly at several venues in Bellingham and Whatcom County. The band plays a combination of 50’s rock & roll /Doo Wop, as well as R&B, and Motown from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with a little Soul Jazz thrown in for good measure.
