We work alone, in a coffee shop, in scraps of time at our dining room table, in a studio for hours. If we share our work publicly, it's often to strangers on the Internet. What does it mean to have Christian community in our creative work? How do we engage with Christ's hospitality in these practices? What does it mean to support another Christian writer/musician/artist? How do we seek others along a similar creative journey when our work is so deeply personal, and our weeks so very full? ?? What it is: a get-together to connect with Christian creatives based in Whatcom County (If you're out of the region, you're very welcome to join too!). ?? What to expect: a short program of art, poetry and song, and time to meet, chat, and discuss posted questions about finding community as Christian creatives. There will also be drawings for giveaways! (Want to be part of the program? Reach out to email@example.com) ?? Where: the Meeting Room in the Lynden Public Library; 216 4th St, Lynden WA 98264 ?? What to bring: - A piece of art, or a song you wrote, or a typed piece of your writing for our Art Gallery. - C?hildren are very welcome, and the library has a lovely children's section for any littles who need a break. - Stop by Eucatastrophe Coffee on Front Street for a beverage on your way! The event is completely free; p?lease RSVP and bring a friend! Check out @storyboard_conference on Instagram to get to know the host.
