    The Lynden Performing Arts Guild is celebrating their 30th holiday season with a production of Scrooge The Musical, the Leslie Bricusse adaptation of A Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens. The production is co-directed by Teri Grimes and Susan Duncan with musical director Cindy Henninger and choreography by Maluhia Vandergriend. The show opens on November 24th running through December 10th. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays beginning at 7:30pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm with two performances scheduled for November 25th and December 9th. Ticket prices are $14 for adults, $12 for students (age 9-22), $12 for Seniors (age 62+) and $10 for children (age 3-8). Tickets are available online at www.TheClaire.org, or at the box office, which opens November 14. Box office hours are 1:00-3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday until December 8. Scrooge The Musical follows the traditional story of A Christmas Carol bringing memorable songs to accompany the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge one Christmas Eve. Audiences will be transported to a different time and place through set design by Chris Jones and lighting and sound designer Gavin Wynne. The dynamic direction of Teri Grimes and Susan Duncan is a real treat for The Claire audiences who have come to expect nothing but the best from these two. “It's also an honor to be working with my friend Cindy Henninger,” said co-director Teri Grimes, “We have been collaborating on musicals together for about 30 years. Maluhia Vandergriend is also joining the team as our choreographer. Maluhia always brings such love and laughter with her and imbues all the cast with her enthusiasm and skill.” The cast of Scrooge The Musical is led by Don McQuarrie playing Ebenezer Scrooge and supported by a special appearance of Ken Gunning as the ghost of Jacob Marley. “This a rare treat for all of us! Ken is a master at the craft, and it is delightful to see him on The Claire stage once again,” said Grimes. Other notable names include Celeste Larson, Mark Miller, Megan Sutton and a number of the ever-talented and delightful Jardinski children making this holiday show a must see.
