Every Wednesday, the J invites you to join us for live music with your lunch. Each week, we welcome a different performer to the Piano Lounge to entertain you during the lunch hour. Enjoy delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches from the Firehall Cafe while listening to live music in downtown Lynden. Tips for the performers are always appreciated. Local music teacher, Janice Brink, returns to the Piano Lounge at the Jansen Art Center. Brink is an active member in the Lynden chapter of WSMTA. She began studying the piano in the 4th grade and continued in college, along with other music classes, and choir/soloist accompaniment. She has taken many piano pedagogy classes, including the Robert Pace method of teaching piano, and continues taking advantage of seminars and conferences to increase her knowledge and understanding of music. Accompanying the Lynden Choral Society is one of her enjoyable community experiences, and she enjoys accompanying worship services in her church.
