Every Wednesday, the J?ansen Art Center? invites you to join us for? free? live music performance in our Piano Lounge from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. ?Each week we welcome a different talented local ?pianist, guitarist or small ensemble.? Johanna Meenk’s early classical piano study in Lynden with Alva Humphreys was followed with various studies in music theories, piano pedagogy, and voice in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley. She has upon occasion accompanied choirs, as well as directed church choir in Tacoma. Johanna particularly enjoys sight-reading and piano accompaniment (soloist and/or chamber music). After working for about 10 years in the Bellevue area of Washington, Johanna is happy to be settled back in the northwest corner of Whatcom County. She with her husband enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends.
