The Lynden Chamber of Commerce
Building a stronger community by building stronger businesses
Our History
The Lynden Chamber of Commerce traces its roots to the early 1900s, when local merchants formed the Lynden Businessmen's Association to improve the Lynden community. The Chamber was formally established in 1928, and for nearly a century it has carried that same belief forward: a strong community creates strong opportunities for business success, and strong businesses build a stronger community.
What We Do
Today the Chamber supports and promotes hundreds of local businesses, from family farms and Front Street shops to restaurants, manufacturers, and professional services. Working with the City of Lynden, we organize and promote the events that bring our community together, including the Lynden Farmers Day Parade, the Northwest Raspberry Festival, City-wide Trick or Treat, and the Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade. Through our Welkom Basket program, we greet new residents with a visit from a hostess in traditional Dutch costume and a basket of gifts and offers from local businesses.
Why It Matters
When you shop Lynden, dine Lynden, and do business in Lynden, you invest in the people and places that make Lynden home. The Chamber works every day to keep that cycle strong while balancing healthy growth with the small-town heritage we love.
